Nichia sets new standards with its Chip-Scale Package (CSP) technology. The special feature of this technology is that the LED has virtually no housing. The LED chip takes up almost the entire area of the LED. Above it there is only a thin layer of phosphorus.
Due to the flip-chip technology, the chip is directly connected to the contacts. The LED has the power of a 2.1W high-power LED and is only 2.1 x 2.1mm in size!
