LumiBar-56-4080 Samsung Rigid LED Strip Neutral White 4000K CRI80, High-Efficiency Zhaga Module 56 cm
The LumiBar-56-4080 is one of the most efficient rigid LED modules for professional luminaires. Its 48 Samsung LEDs on a 56 cm circuit board deliver 1657 lm (2959 lm per meter) at only 7.6 W, an outstanding efficacy of 218 lm/W measured at a realistic junction temperature of 65°C, and energy efficiency class A. With a color rendering index of 80 and neutral white 4000K light, it is the right choice wherever large amounts of light are needed at the lowest energy cost: offices, shops, schools, corridors, warehouses, industrial halls and parking areas.
Designed according to the Zhaga Book 7 standard, the LumiBar-56-4080 has a 20 mm wide rigid board with solderless terminals, is operated with a constant current LED driver and needs no additional heat sink. The short LED pitch produces uniform light without light spots behind a diffuser, and binning to a 3-step MacAdam ellipse ensures consistent neutral white light. The 4000K light color creates a clean, focused pure white light that supports concentration and alertness. The module is made in Germany and backed by a 5-year warranty.

Applications of the LumiBar-56-4080 LED Strip 4000K
With its rigid, Zhaga-compatible format and high efficiency, the LumiBar-56-4080 4000K is designed for the following main applications:
- Linear lighting: LumiBar modules are mounted end to end in linear luminaires, recessed or surface-mounted profiles and pendant lights. For example, two LumiBar-56-4080 modules (1.12 m) fit a 1.2 m luminaire and deliver about 3314 lm at about 15.2 W. With the short LED pitch and a diffuser, the line of light is uniform. Read more in our guides on creating lines of light with LED strips and designing efficient LED linear lamps.
- Troffer and panel lighting: In troffers and LED panels for suspended ceilings, several LumiBar modules are mounted in parallel rows on the base plate behind the diffuser. The rigid, Zhaga-compatible modules are easy to fix and wire, making them a high-quality replacement for fluorescent tubes in offices, classrooms, hospitals and shops, where good color rendering improves visual comfort and concentration. More about LED strips and modules for troffer lights.
- Efficient white light: With a color rendering index of 80 and an outstanding efficacy, the LumiBar 4080 delivers large amounts of uniform white light at minimal energy cost. Where color accuracy is critical, choose our CRI90 LumiBar 3090 or CRI95/CRI98 LumiBar 3098+ modules. The 4000K color temperature gives a clean, focused pure white light that supports concentration and alertness. Find out which color temperature suits your project in our guide Choosing the right color temperature for LED lighting.
- Horticulture: lettuce production: In vertical farms, rows of LumiBar-56-4080 modules can be mounted under each cultivation level. Their 4000K white spectrum covers the whole visible range with a single LED type, supporting healthy crop growth while allowing easy visual inspection and comfortable working conditions. See our page on LED grow lights for lettuce production.
- Horticulture: microgreens: For microgreens trays, the compact rigid modules can be positioned close to the crop canopy and distributed according to tray dimensions and shelf geometry to reach the target light level evenly. More on LED grow light engines for microgreens production.
- Horticulture: supplemental daylight for strawberries and tomatoes: With 2959 lm per meter, rows of modules in greenhouse fixtures can extend the day length and raise the daily light integral of fruiting crops such as strawberries and tomatoes, which need light for flowering and fruit development, not only for leaf growth. Read more about strawberry cultivation with LED grow lights.
Please note: the LumiBar-56-4080 is not waterproof and is specified for operation at 10% to 60% relative humidity. For greenhouses, grow rooms and other humid environments, install it in a closed luminaire housing.
Built Around the Zhaga Standard (Book 7)
The Zhaga Consortium is a global lighting industry association that defines interface specifications, called Books, so that LED light engines from different manufacturers can be used interchangeably in the same luminaire. Zhaga Book 7 covers linear and square LED modules for indoor lighting that are operated with a separate LED driver and are mounted in the luminaire, and replaced, by professionals. It specifies the mechanical, thermal, photometric and electrical interfaces between the LED module and the luminaire, and defines 18 module categories by their maximum outer dimensions. In 2023, Book 7 became the first Zhaga specification to be published as an IEC standard, IEC 63356-2. More information is available on the Zhaga Book 7 page.
The LumiBar is designed according to Zhaga Book 7. The 56 cm LumiBar follows the same concept as the 28 cm module of Book 7 category L28W2 (maximum 280 x 24 mm): the same 20 mm width, the same connection principle and double the length, so 14, 28 and 56 cm modules can be combined in one luminaire design.
- For luminaire manufacturers: a luminaire body designed around the Zhaga form factor accepts standardized modules, so you can switch to newer, more efficient LED generations or a second source without redesigning the luminaire.
- For maintenance and upgrades: existing luminaires with Zhaga Book 7 modules can be serviced or upgraded with LumiBar modules, extending their service life.
- For sustainable lighting: replaceable, standardized light engines make luminaires serviceable and support the replaceability of light sources required by the EU Ecodesign Regulation (EU) 2019/2020.

Installation and Operation
- Mounting: mount the module flat on the luminaire body, ideally on a metal surface for good heat transfer; no additional heat sink is required. Do not bend the rigid circuit board and avoid mechanical stress on the components.
- Connection: the module has solderless push-in terminals. Strip the wire insulation at the connection point and insert the wire; we recommend a conductor cross-section of 0.75 mm² (AWG 18).
- LED driver: operate the modules with a constant current LED driver of 480 mA. Several modules can be connected in series: the current of the string stays the same, and the voltages add up. For example, 2 modules of 56 cm in series (about 1.12 m) need 31.7 V, which must lie within the output voltage range of the driver. Connect only modules of the same length in one series string. For dimming, use a dimmable driver.
- Handling: observe standard ESD precautions, keep the module away from aggressive chemicals, and store and operate it at 10% to 60% relative humidity.
- Safety: the driver must provide short-circuit, overload and overtemperature protection, and installation must comply with all applicable electrical and safety standards and should be carried out by a qualified electrician.
Why the LumiBar-56-4080 Outperforms Low-Cost LED Modules
- LED quality: we use only brand-name LEDs from Samsung, one of the world's top 10 LED manufacturers, with full manufacturer datasheets and performance tested in the lab and in real applications.
- Production quality: the modules are assembled in Germany on an ISO-certified line with high-speed automatic placement and vapor phase soldering under a protective gas atmosphere, which prevents oxidation and cold solder joints and improves the thermal connection between LED and circuit board, an important factor for LED lifetime. Laser bar codes ensure traceability.
- Realistic specifications: all values are measured at a junction temperature of 65°C, so the performance in our datasheet matches what you get in a real luminaire.
