UV, or ultraviolet, is a type of electromagnetic radiation with wavelengths shorter than visible light, typically ranging from 100 to 400 nanometers (nm). The term "ultraviolet" refers to the fact that this radiation extends beyond the violet end of the visible light spectrum.
Nichia offers a comprehensive range of UV LEDs, covering UV-C, UV-B, and UV-A wavelengths. Each type serves specific applications, leveraging the unique properties of different UV wavelengths.
UV LEDs are light-emitting diodes that emit ultraviolet radiation. Due to the high-energy levels of UV light, ensuring the reliability of UV LEDs is generally challenging. However, Nichia addresses this challenge by managing the entire production process, from wafer manufacturing to product shipment, ensuring the high reliability of its UV LEDs.
