LumiBar-28-3098+ SunLike Rigid LED Strip Warm White 3000K CRI98, Natural Light Zhaga Module 28 cm
The LumiBar-28-3098+ brings natural, sunlight-like light into professional luminaires. Its 24 SunLike LEDs, produced by Seoul Semiconductor with LED chips based on Toshiba's TRI-R technology, have a full spectrum that closely follows natural sunlight at the same color temperature, with a color rendering index of 98. Colors, skin tones and materials look natural, and the light is comfortable for the eyes. One 28 cm module delivers 640 lm (2286 lm per meter) of warm white 3000K light at 5.9 W.
Designed according to the Zhaga Book 7 standard, the LumiBar-28-3098+ has a 20 mm wide rigid board with solderless terminals, is operated with a constant current LED driver and needs no additional heat sink. The short LED pitch produces uniform light without light spots behind a diffuser, and binning to a 3-step MacAdam ellipse ensures consistent warm white light. The 3000K light color creates a soothing warm white light that keeps a relaxing atmosphere but adds a little more clarity than 2700K. The module is made in Germany and backed by a 5-year warranty.

Applications of the LumiBar-28-3098+ LED Strip 3000K
With its rigid, Zhaga-compatible format and natural light quality, the LumiBar-28-3098+ 3000K is designed for the following main applications:
- Linear lighting: LumiBar modules are mounted end to end in linear luminaires, recessed or surface-mounted profiles and pendant lights. For example, four LumiBar-28-3098+ modules (1.12 m) fit a 1.2 m luminaire and deliver about 2560 lm at about 23.6 W. With the short LED pitch and a diffuser, the line of light is uniform. Read more in our guides on creating lines of light with LED strips and designing efficient LED linear lamps.
- Troffer and panel lighting: In troffers and LED panels for suspended ceilings, several LumiBar modules are mounted in parallel rows on the base plate behind the diffuser. The rigid, Zhaga-compatible modules are easy to fix and wire, making them a high-quality replacement for fluorescent tubes in reception areas, hotels, shops and other spaces where a warmer, welcoming light is preferred. More about LED strips and modules for troffer lights.
- High-quality white light: With a color rendering index of 98 and a full, sunlight-like spectrum, the module shows colors as in natural light, ideal for homes, offices, schools, healthcare, museums, galleries and retail. The 3000K color temperature gives a soothing warm white light that keeps a relaxing atmosphere but adds a little more clarity than 2700K. Find out which color temperature suits your project in our guide Choosing the right color temperature for LED lighting.
Built Around the Zhaga Standard (Book 7)
The Zhaga Consortium is a global lighting industry association that defines interface specifications, called Books, so that LED light engines from different manufacturers can be used interchangeably in the same luminaire. Zhaga Book 7 covers linear and square LED modules for indoor lighting that are operated with a separate LED driver and are mounted in the luminaire, and replaced, by professionals. It specifies the mechanical, thermal, photometric and electrical interfaces between the LED module and the luminaire, and defines 18 module categories by their maximum outer dimensions. In 2023, Book 7 became the first Zhaga specification to be published as an IEC standard, IEC 63356-2. More information is available on the Zhaga Book 7 page.
The LumiBar is designed according to Zhaga Book 7. With its dimensions of 279.5 x 20 mm, the LumiBar fits the Book 7 category L28W2, which defines a maximum module size of 280 x 24 mm.
- For luminaire manufacturers: a luminaire body designed around the Zhaga form factor accepts standardized modules, so you can switch to newer, more efficient LED generations or a second source without redesigning the luminaire.
- For maintenance and upgrades: existing luminaires with Zhaga Book 7 modules can be serviced or upgraded with LumiBar modules, extending their service life.
- For sustainable lighting: replaceable, standardized light engines make luminaires serviceable and support the replaceability of light sources required by the EU Ecodesign Regulation (EU) 2019/2020.

Installation and Operation
- Mounting: mount the module flat on the luminaire body, ideally on a metal surface for good heat transfer; no additional heat sink is required. Do not bend the rigid circuit board and avoid mechanical stress on the components.
- Connection: the module has solderless push-in terminals. Strip the wire insulation at the connection point and insert the wire; we recommend a conductor cross-section of 0.75 mm² (AWG 18).
- LED driver: operate the modules with a constant current LED driver of 360 mA. Several modules can be connected in series: the current of the string stays the same, and the voltages add up. For example, 4 modules of 28 cm in series (about 1.12 m) need 65.2 V, which must lie within the output voltage range of the driver. Connect only modules of the same length in one series string. For dimming, use a dimmable driver.
- Handling: observe standard ESD precautions, keep the module away from aggressive chemicals, and store and operate it at 10% to 60% relative humidity.
- Safety: the driver must provide short-circuit, overload and overtemperature protection, and installation must comply with all applicable electrical and safety standards and should be carried out by a qualified electrician.
Why the LumiBar-28-3098+ Outperforms Low-Cost LED Modules
- LED quality: we use only brand-name SunLike LEDs from Seoul Semiconductor, with LED chips built on Toshiba's TRI-R technology, with full manufacturer datasheets and performance tested in the lab and in real applications.
- Production quality: the modules are assembled in Germany on an ISO-certified line with high-speed automatic placement and vapor phase soldering under a protective gas atmosphere, which prevents oxidation and cold solder joints and improves the thermal connection between LED and circuit board, an important factor for LED lifetime. Laser bar codes ensure traceability.
- Realistic specifications: all values are measured at a junction temperature of 65°C, so the performance in our datasheet matches what you get in a real luminaire.
