The SmartArray Q4 concentrates 4 Nichia E17A LEDs on a very slim square board of only 13.5 x 13 mm. It delivers 480 lm of warm white 2700K light at 4 W, about 120 lm/W, and serves as a compact, efficient replacement for COB modules, halogen lamps and other point light sources in designer luminaires, spotlights, downlights and high-performance industrial luminaires. A slot for screw fixing makes mounting on the heat sink easy.

Applications of the SmartArray Q4 LED Module
As a compact, high-density light source, the SmartArray Q4 is designed for the following main applications:

Installation and Operation
- Cooling: mount the module on a heat sink or the metal body of the luminaire, with thermal interface material or the adhesive pad where provided, and make sure the Tc point stays within the specified limits in the finished luminaire.
- Mounting: fix the module with a screw through the slot.
- LED driver: operate the module with a constant current LED driver with short-circuit, overload and overtemperature protection; never connect it directly to a constant voltage supply. Several modules can be connected in series: the current stays the same and the voltages add up, so the driver output voltage must cover the sum.
- Handling: do not touch or press the LEDs, observe standard ESD precautions, keep the module away from aggressive chemicals, and store and operate it at 10% to 60% relative humidity.
- Safety: installation must comply with all applicable electrical and safety standards and should be carried out by a qualified electrician.
