FlexOne3080 Samsung LED Strip Pure White 4000K with Linear Control, Cuttable After Every LED

The FlexOne3080 4000K combines a very high output of 2575 lm per meter with a unique flexibility: the strip can be cut with scissors after every LED, every 20 mm, so it can be divided into segments of a single LED and adapted to practically any length or luminaire design. It is equipped with 250 Samsung LEDs on a 5 m reel (50 per meter, about 52 lm each) and delivers 12875 lm per reel, which makes it an ideal light source for general and task lighting in offices, shops, kitchens and classrooms, luminaire construction and horticulture.

Built-in linear control keeps the current of every LED constant over the entire length: even when the 12 V supply is connected at one end only, the last LED shines as brightly as the first. LEDs binned to a 3-step MacAdam ellipse ensure uniform pure white light, and the 4000K light color creates a clean, focused pure white light that supports concentration and alertness, well suited to offices, classrooms, hospitals, grocery stores, jewelry boutiques, workshops and kitchens. The strip is made in Germany and backed by a 5-year warranty.

Applications of the FlexOne3080 LED Strip 4000K

With its high output, constant brightness and freely adjustable length, the FlexOne3080 4000K is designed for the following main applications:

• Linear lighting: Mounted in an aluminum profile with an opal diffuser, the FlexOne3080 creates bright, continuous lines of light for ceilings, walls and linear luminaires, directed downwards from recessed or surface-mounted profiles. With 50 LEDs per meter (a pitch of 20 mm), use a profile with enough distance between strip and diffuser, or a cover with high diffusion, for a dot-free line of light. With 2575 lm per meter, a single strip reaches general lighting levels in homes and in offices with ceiling heights of up to about 4 m; combine it with spotlights where accent light is needed. • Cove lighting: Installed in a ceiling or wall cove, the strip produces soft, glare-free indirect light. Its output of 2575 lm per meter is bright enough for general room lighting from a single cove line, and the 3-step MacAdam binning prevents visible color shifts along the cove. • Troffer and panel lighting: For troffers and LED panels in suspended ceilings, FlexOne3080 strips can be mounted in parallel on the base plate behind the diffuser. Their high output per meter means fewer strips per luminaire, making them a powerful replacement for fluorescent tubes in offices, classrooms, hospitals and shops, where good color rendering improves visual comfort and concentration. • Powerful white light: With a color rendering index above 80, the FlexOne3080 provides large amounts of uniform white light for general and task lighting. • Horticulture: microgreens: For microgreens trays, LEDs can be positioned close to the crop canopy; because the FlexOne3080 can be cut after every LED, strips can be adapted exactly to tray dimensions and shelf geometry to reach the target light level evenly. • Horticulture: microalgae photobioreactors: The flexible PCB can be placed close to transparent reactor tubes, with several strips distributed around the reactor for multi-sided illumination and fewer dark zones. White light is a practical choice for dense cultures, since green photons penetrate further into the suspension. Mount the strips on aluminum profiles so their heat is carried away from the culture. Please note: the standard FlexOne3080 is not waterproof and is specified for operation at 10% to 60% relative humidity. For greenhouses, grow rooms and other humid environments, install it in a closed aluminum profile, or contact us about a protected version.

Installation and Operation

• Cutting: the strip can be cut with scissors after every LED (every 20 mm), at the marked cutting points.
• Mounting: clean and degrease the surface, then fix the strip with its self-adhesive tape. For the best heat transfer, light diffusion and mechanical protection, we recommend mounting it in one of our aluminum profiles.
• Connection: connect the strip by soldering leads to the connection pads provided for this purpose.
• Power supply: operate the strip with a stabilized 12 V DC constant voltage LED driver that has short-circuit, overload and overtemperature protection. A full 5 m reel draws 150 W (12.5 A).
• Cables: thanks to linear control, the strip can be fed from one end. At up to 12.5 A per full reel, use cables and connections rated for this current, or divide long runs into sections with separate feeds.
• Heat: at 30 W per meter, mount the strip on an aluminum profile or another metal surface for good heat dissipation.
• Handling: avoid sharp bending and mechanical stress on the components, observe standard ESD precautions, and keep the strip away from aggressive chemicals. Store and operate it at 10% to 60% relative humidity.
• Safety: installation must comply with all applicable electrical and safety standards and should be carried out by a qualified electrician.
