SideFlex1080 Side-Emitting LED Strip Warm White 2700K
The SideFlex1080 opens up new possibilities in luminaire and interior design. Unlike conventional LED strips, it does not emit light upwards but sideways. This makes it easy to create indirect, harmonious lighting in difficult installation situations, for example where there is little horizontal space but enough height, in narrow coves, behind edges or in slim luminaires that require sophisticated lighting.
Its 700 LEDs per 5 m reel (140 per meter) are placed very densely, so the strip glows uniformly and homogeneously, without visible light points. The cozy, intimate warm white 2700K light is ideal for living rooms and bedrooms, and creates a soft, homelike atmosphere in restaurants, hotels and shops; warm light in the evening also supports relaxation and a good night's sleep. With 680 lm per meter at 9.6 W per meter, the strip is designed for accent and indirect lighting. The flexible PCB follows corners and curves with ease, and the double-sided adhesive tape makes installation simple.

Applications of the SideFlex1080 LED Strip
The SideFlex1080 is designed for the following main applications:
- Cove lighting: Mounted on the vertical side of a cove, edge or shelf, the SideFlex directs its light sideways into the cove, creating indirect light lines that highlight architectural elements, objects and furniture even where there is no room for a strip lying flat. Installation and Operation
- Cutting: cut the strip only at the marked cutting points.
- Mounting: clean and degrease the surface, then fix the strip with its self-adhesive tape. For the best heat transfer, light diffusion and mechanical protection, we recommend mounting it in one of our aluminum profiles.
- Connection: connect the strip by soldering leads to the connection pads provided for this purpose.
- Power supply: operate the strip with a stabilized 24 V DC constant voltage LED driver that has short-circuit, overload and overtemperature protection. A full 5 m reel draws 48 W.
- Handling: avoid sharp bending and mechanical stress on the components, observe standard ESD precautions, and keep the strip away from aggressive chemicals. Store and operate it at 10% to 60% relative humidity.
- Safety: installation must comply with all applicable electrical and safety standards and should be carried out by a qualified electrician.
