The MiniDaisy 14 TW is a slim, 20 mm wide tunable white LED module with 14 Nichia NF2W757G-MT 2-in-1 LEDs. Each LED contains both color channels under a single phosphor layer, so the color temperature can be adjusted over the wide range from warm 2700K to daylight 6500K with homogeneous light and finer color mixing than with separate warm and cold LEDs. Each channel delivers about 290 to 300 lm at 175 mA. Developed together with LEDiL for the DAISY-MINI rod lens, it is a compact light engine for narrow office, workplace, shop and restaurant luminaires.

Applications of the MiniDaisy 14 TW LED Module

As a tunable white light engine for LEDiL DAISY optics, the MiniDaisy 14 TW is designed for the following main applications:

• Linear lighting: Mounted end to end in a profile or luminaire body and fitted with DAISY lenses, MiniDaisy 14 TW modules create continuous lines of tunable white light for pendant and surface-mounted luminaires in offices, workplaces, shops, halls and commercial buildings. • Cove lighting and wall washing: Used without lenses in coves, or with the wide DAISY lenses for wall washing, the module bathes ceilings and walls in soft indirect light whose color temperature can follow the mood of the room. Learn more about cove lighting with LED strips.
• Tunable white and human-centric lighting: A single Nichia 2-in-1 LED type covers the wide range from warm 2700K to daylight 6500K under one light emitting surface, so the color mixes evenly at every setting. LEDiL DAISY Optics for a Complete Linear Luminaire

The MiniDaisy 14 TW is designed for the slim LEDiL DAISY-MINI rod lens: the 14 LEDs sit exactly under the 14 lens elements, and holes in the board accommodate the lens, so the module and optic form a compact, ready-to-use light engine for narrow linear luminaires.

Installation and Operation

• Mounting: mount the module on a heat sink, aluminum profile or the metal body of the luminaire for good heat transfer; use the holes in the board to position the DAISY lens.
• LED driver: operate each color channel with a constant current driver or a 2-channel tunable white controller set to 175 mA per channel (about 19.9 V); never connect the module directly to a constant voltage supply. Wire the channels according to the PCB markings. Dimming and color temperature control are done by the controller.
• Handling: do not touch or press the LEDs, observe standard ESD precautions, and keep the module away from aggressive chemicals. The module is not waterproof; for humid or outdoor environments, install it in a closed, suitable luminaire housing.
• Safety: installation must comply with all applicable electrical and safety standards and should be carried out by a qualified electrician.
