LumiFlex1080 Efficient LED Strip Warm White 3000K

The LumiFlex1080 3000K is an efficient, cost-effective LED strip for ambient light from coves, shelf, kitchen and furniture lighting in homes, hotels and shops. Its 700 LEDs from Seoul Semiconductor (140 per meter) deliver 4900 lm per 5 m reel (980 lm per meter) at only 7.2 W per meter, with an efficacy of 136 lm/W. A color rendering index above 80 provides clean, uniform warm white light for everyday ambient and accent lighting.

The strip is made from one continuous 5-meter printed circuit board, produced in our reel-to-reel line in Germany, so there are no soldered joints between sections that could become mechanical or electrical weak points. LEDs binned to a 3-step MacAdam ellipse ensure uniform warm white light along the whole reel and consistent results from batch to batch.

The LumiFlex1080 can be cut every 50 mm to the exact length required and is mounted quickly with its double-sided, heat-conducting adhesive tape. With its slim 8 mm width, 1.55 mm height, 24 V constant voltage operation and full dimmability, it fits into slim aluminum profiles, coves, shelves and furniture, without any additional cooling.

Applications of the LumiFlex1080 LED Strip 3000K

With its moderate brightness, uniform light and slim, flexible format, the LumiFlex1080 3000K is designed for the following main applications:

• Cove lighting: Installed in a ceiling or wall cove, the LumiFlex1080 produces soft, glare-free indirect light. Its output of 980 lm per meter is ideal for accent lighting around furniture and objects and for soft ambient light from coves, and the 3-step MacAdam binning prevents visible color shifts along long cove runs. The 3000K light color creates a soothing warm white light that keeps a relaxing atmosphere but adds a little more clarity than 2700K, well suited to kitchens, bathrooms, cafés, hotels, galleries and retail spaces. • Efficient white light: With a color rendering index above 80 and high efficacy, the LumiFlex1080 provides uniform white light at low energy cost. Where color accuracy is critical, we recommend our CRI95 LumiFlex1095 or LumiFlex3095 strips. The 3000K color temperature gives a soothing warm white light that keeps a relaxing atmosphere but adds a little more clarity than 2700K. • Decorative lines of light and furniture lighting: Thanks to its high LED density of 140 LEDs per meter and moderate brightness, the strip is our recommended choice for decorative, recessed lines of light in walls and ceilings. For the most uniform result, mount it in a deep aluminum profile with a frosted cover, as described in our guide on creating lines of light with LED strips. Installation and Operation

• Cutting: the strip can be cut with scissors every 50 mm, at the marked cutting points.
• Mounting: clean and degrease the surface, then fix the strip with its self-adhesive tape. For the best heat transfer, light diffusion and mechanical protection, we recommend mounting it in one of our aluminum profiles.
• Connection: connect the strip by soldering leads to the connection pads provided for this purpose.
• Power supply: operate the strip with a stabilized 24 V DC constant voltage LED driver that has short-circuit, overload and overtemperature protection. A full 5 m reel draws 36 W (1.5 A).
• Handling: avoid sharp bending and mechanical stress on the components, observe standard ESD precautions, and keep the strip away from aggressive chemicals. Store and operate it at 10% to 60% relative humidity.
• Safety: installation must comply with all applicable electrical and safety standards and should be carried out by a qualified electrician.
