LumProtect® - Revolutionizing LED Lighting with Superior Waterproofing Technology
Elevating Waterproof Standards
With LumProtect®, in our state-of-the-art German facility, we're redefining the durability of LED lighting with our pioneering Lamination Process. Our technology goes beyond standard waterproofing, achieving an IP67 rating. This certifies that our LED strips are fully dustproof and can withstand submersion in water up to one meter deep for 30 minutes.
This remarkable durability is achieved through the application of multiple layers of a resilient polymer to each side of the LED strip's flexible circuit board. Our process utilizes heat and pressure to create a strong bond, ensuring complete encapsulation of the components without any air entrapment. This innovative approach positions LumProtect® LED strips as a leader in robustness and versatility in the industry.

Customize Your Lighting
At Ledrise, personalization is our specialty. We can apply the LumProtect® treatment to any of our flexible LED strips or modules. And if you need something unique, we're here to develop a custom solution just for you.
Our LumiFlex3080 Seoul and LumiFlex 2080 Samsung LED strips are available for order. Choose from warm (2700K, 3000K), natural (4000K), or cool (6500K) white light to match your mood or décor. Starting with a minimum order of just 20 pieces, it's easy to bring the brilliance of LumProtect® to your project.
Our LumiFlex LED strips use genuine LEDs from leading manufacturers such as Nichia, Samsung or Seoul Semiconductor.
The very long life of these LEDs (minimum 60,000 hours), high operating temperature resistance, superior light output and very good light quality are just some of the attributes that recommend our products for long-lasting use in a wide range of applications.
We are a specialist of high performance LED light solutions. As part of the early success of LEDs we have extensive application knowledge from a wide range of sectors. Since 2010, we have developed and produced LED strips in a state-of-the-art production facility in Germany. These strips have been used successfully in a wide range of application and developed specifically to meet customer specifications.
1) Extended Longevity: Shine Bright for Years
Brand name LEDs endure impressively. After 10,000 hours, they retain 97% of their initial luminous intensity even under demanding conditions. In practical terms, this equates to an effective lifespan of around 70,000 hours, with just a 30% drop in brightness. For context, that's a decade of non-stop use in a shopping center or even decades of home operation.
In contrast, cheaper LEDs can lose up to 60% of their brightness in fewer than 10,000 hours - a mere year of operation. They can weaken significantly within 1,000-3,000 hours.
The evolution of light output of such a brand name LED, the Nichia 757G LEDs is demonstrated by 10,000 hours testing, according to the LM-80 standard. Lifetime (light at 80%) is calculated using TM-21, both internationally recognized standards and used by all major manufacturers. Data is public, available in the PDF below.
2) Consistently Radiant White Light
The LEDs we use in our LumiFlex emit uniform white light, maintained consistently over time. Thanks to the 3 MacAdam Ellipse sorting standard, all have the same color temperature. This level of uniformity remains steady even after extended use.
Conversely, low-cost LED strips often exhibit varying shades of white, making color consistency a challenge. Over time, cheap LEDs can shift in hue, an issue that the high quality LEDs circumvent through advanced design and material quality.
3) Maximizing Light Efficiency
LED light output per watt varies significantly due to design and material quality. This variance in luminous efficacy can span up to 500%, profoundly impacting production costs.
Here's a comparison: Nichia 757 LEDs shine brilliantly, with over 200 lumens per watt, while their cheap counterparts struggle with less than 50 lumens per watt. In practical terms, this means a Lumiflex LED strip (9.6W) emits as much light as two meters of a 14.4W/m 5050 LED strip (total consumption > 28W/m). Even after 10,000 hours, the Lumiflex's brilliance remains superior to four meters of the low-cost strip due to the latter's diminished luminous output.

A concrete example highlights the quality difference. Lumiflex LED strips replaced cheaper LEDs in a hospital's Neonatology section. The images below unequivocally demonstrate the transformation:
LumProtect LumiFlex LED strips can be combined with profiles to deliver luminaires with minimalist design. The profiles in our offer have a high quality of materials and finishes, intended for the German market. The profile protects the strips from dust, mechanical shocks and provides cooling for even longer life.
