The PowerBar V3 LED modules are a high-quality lighting solution designed for applications that require a lot of light per square meter, such as plant growth, medical, industry, commercial, or architectural lighting. Measuring 28 cm in length, each PowerBar V3 module is equipped with 12 powerful UV LEDs from Nichia of the series 119C, the market leader in UV power LEDs. With a huge 385nm UV light output of 16080 mW at 130° angle, the PowerBar V3 UV LED modules are a highly effective lighting solution for a wide range of applications.
The PowerBar V3 LED modules feature an aluminium PCB, which significantly improves heat management, and an NTC resistor, which allows temperature monitoring via an external control unit. The LED strips consist of 12 connected segments, each with an area of 28.5 x 23.85 mm, which can be divided with a saw, allowing each segment to be used individually. On the first and last sections, a terminal is mounted for simplified connection without soldering.
To enhance the versatility of the PowerBar V3 UV LED modules, they are designed with holes that simplify the mounting of lenses. Many lenses from Ledil and Carclo, which are also available in our shop, are compatible with the PowerBar V3 UV LED modules, enabling a broad range of applications.
With the matching accessories of our PowerBar V3 system, it is possible to assemble a complete luminaire tailored to your needs. You have several options to choose from, including different heat sinks, mounting clips, and individual lenses. We recommend at least 4.5W irradiance per square meter that functions mostly when people are not present.
Example based on the below Irradiance estimation for the PowerBar V3 with a radiance flux of 16W UVA 385nm, based on the distance from the LED source. Warning UV danger for eyes and skin
UVA radiation in the wavelength range of 200-400 nm of more than 10W/m2 may cause inflammation of the cornea as well as a UV erythema (sunburn) of the skin. The biological effectiveness of the UV radiation varies in the stated wavelength range and is described with the spectral response function (weighting scale) SUV.
Safety precautions when using UV light sources must be respected, as detailed in IEC Standard 62471:2006, ‘Photobiological Safety of Lamps and Lamp Systems’, EU-Directive-2006-25-EC or the applicable standard for your country.
