Nichia’s white LEDs are made up of blue die and yellow phosphor. There are many patterns of phosphor combinations and by using specific ones, Nichia has been developing and manufacturing various types of products (e.g. higher luminous flux, improved Ra or R9~R15).
A new pattern of phosphor combinations from Nichia for white LEDs now enables objects to appear more fresh and vivid, because of special color rendering options that are a different approach from color rendering index. Special color rendering focuses on how objects can appear, for example: meats appear more appetizing; vegetables, fruits, and flowers will look more natural, and fashion fabrics more vibrant. NICHIA now offers a new way to personalize the appearance of objects with LEDs.
The Rs030 white LEDs from Nichia emphasize the 3 primary colors of the light spectrum, specifically the tip of blue, green and red. This achieves the highest quality of color under general lighting color coordinates (ANSI C78 377 MacAdam 3-step), especially in color applications such as fruits, vegetables, flowers, and produce.
