The BackMatrix-49-2080 Ultra-wide light distribution Nichia Cube LED Module 49 LEDs 28x28cm 24V 2700K Warm White 1190lm (14000 lm/sqm) is a large-area 24 V LED module from our BackMatrix family. It uses 49 Nichia Cube LEDs and delivers 1190 lm of warm white light at 2700K with CRI 80+, while consuming only 9.6 W. With an efficacy of 124 lm/W and an ultra-wide light distribution, it is designed for efficient, homogeneous illumination over large surfaces.
The BackMatrix geometry is optimized for light boxes, luminous ceilings, signage and other applications where a uniform luminous surface is more important than a narrow beam. The 280 x 280 mm board distributes the LEDs over a large area and the 120° beam helps the light blend behind a suitable diffuser, allowing shallower constructions with fewer visible hotspots.
The module operates from 24 V constant voltage and draws approximately 399 mA at the reference operating point. PWM dimming is supported with a suitable driver. Nichia LEDs are selected in 3-Step MacAdam binning for good colour consistency across larger installations, and the module is specified for more than 60,000 hours L80B10C1 lifetime. The design does not require additional cooling under the specified operating conditions.
Made in Germany – controlled production for professional installations
We manufacture the BackMatrix-49-2080 in Germany on automated SMD production lines and inspect the modules electrically before shipment. Controlled assembly, defined component sourcing and documented electrical and photometric specifications are especially important in large illuminated surfaces, where differences between modules become immediately visible.
