Lumiflex Nichia LED strips use the world's highest performance mid-power LEDs: the 757G series from the market leader, Japanese company Nichia. Lifetime, light output and light efficacy (light emitted on power consumption) of the 757G LEDs are all top of the class and translate into the features of Lumiflex strips.
Therefore, one meter of Lumiflex35 LED strip has a light output of over 1200 lm (75Watt bulb equivalent) at a consumption of only 9.6W and using only 70 Nichia 757G LEDs. This performance, combined with a lifetime of over 100,000 hours, makes the Lumiflex35 the best choice for general lighting in homes, offices or retail spaces.
For projects where stronger light is required, such as high ceiling spaces, product presentation areas, backlighting of a translucent material (plexiglas, stone, marble, barrisol strech ceiling), we recommend the Lumiflex70 LED strip with 140 LEDs per meter and a luminous flux up to 2800 lm / m (180W equivalent).
Lumiflex70 is also available with a very high light quality level, CRI90, or TW (warm white-neutral-cold white).
The cost of Lumiflex LED tapes is quickly covered due to minimal energy consumption and nonexistent maintenance costs for years or even decades of operation. For the safety of the investment, the Lumiflex LED Nichia strips come with a warranty of 5 years, and can be extended to 7 years in some cases.
Applications for Lumiflex Nichia LED Strips:
The Japanese company Nichia, the manufacturer of LEDs used on Lumiflex strips, is the world leader in the LED diode market, with a market share of over 25% and the longest experience in the field. Nichia is the inventor of the white LED production technology, receiving the Nobel Prize for this invention.
The very long life of Nichia 757G LEDs (minimum 100,000 hours), high operating temperature resistance, superior light output and good light quality are just some of the attributes that recommend the Lumiflex LED strip for long-lasting use in a wide range of applications.
We are a specialist of high performance LED light solutions. As part of the early success of LEDs we have extensive application knowledge from a wide range of sectors. Since 2010, we have developed and produced NICHIA LED strips in a state-of-the-art production facility in Germany. These strips have been used successfully in a wide range of application and developed specifically to meet customer specifications.
The difference between the quality and performance of the Lumiflex LED with Nichia LEDs and a common strip, with low-cost LEDs, is evident from the first light and in time the gap increases even more.
1) The LEDs shine with the same brightness for a very long time
After 10,000 hours of operation, a Nichia 757G LED keeps 97% of the initial luminous flux, under high operating conditions, shining like in the beginning.
In most applications, this translates into an effective 100,000 hours lifetime and after this light drops only 30% from initial value! Expressed in years, this lifetime can mean 10 years of continuous operation in a shopping center or decades of operation in a home.
In contrast, an inexpensive LED loses up to 60% of the initial value in less than 10,000 hours, approximately one year of operation. It becomes too weak for the initial purpose in just 1,000-3,000 hours.
The evolution of light output for the Nichia 757G LEDs is demonstrated by 10,000 hours testing, according to the LM-80 standard. Lifetime (light at 80%) is calculated using TM-21, both internationally recognized standards and used by all major manufacturers. Data is public, available in the PDF above.
2) Uniform white light: Nichia 757 LEDs have the same shade of white and keep it in time
On the Lumiflex strip, all Nichia LEDs have the same white light and all LED strips in one delivery have the same color temperature. Uniformity can be maintained for a future order. This is possible due to the 3 Macadam Elipse sorting standard.
Due to the quality of the design and materials, the phenomenon of shifting white color after many hours of operation is not visible, the Nichia 757 LEDs have the same shade as at purchase.
In contrast, on low-priced tapes, LEDs may have several shades of white, or two reels may have different shades. The requirement for a future order to deliver a certain shade is impossible to fulfill. The reason is the lack of a post-production sorting standard (a price-increasing option). Moreover, after just a few thousand hours, each cheap strip LED changes its hue.
3) More light for less power: The Nichia 757 LED is 5 times more energy efficient
The design and material quality influence the LED light output for a watt of energy consumed. The difference in light efficacy (lumens per watt) from one LED to another can be up to 500%, with a very high influence on the production price.
The Nichia 757 LEDs have the highest light output, more than 200 lumens per watt compared to an inexpensive LED that has less than 50 lumens per watt.
In other words, a meter Lumiflex35 of 9.6W is as bright as two meters of 14.4W / m strip with 5050 cheap LEDs (total consumption> 28W / m). After 10,000 hours, the Lumiflex35 tape will become as bright as four meters of low-cost strip, due to the degradation of the latter's luminous flux.
Nichia quality visible in a project:
Lumiflex Nichia LED strips can be combined with profiles to deliver luminaires with minimalist design. The profiles in our offer have a high quality of materials and finishes, intented for the German market. The profile protects the strips from dust, mechanical shocks and provides cooling for even longer life.
